New Books
Well there should be no shortage of reading material around here for the next few months. We are almost through our first Textbook and Lab manual, and I ended up getting an advance copy of our next Text, Electronic Circuits, by Thomas Floyd, as well as the accompanying lab manual. I’ve ordered and received the Textbook for our third term, Digital Fundamentals, also by Thomas Floyd, and the lab manual for that is on order from Chapters.
I ended up getting a great deal on a few used books, some of the ones I had borrowed from the library, Mastering Electronics Math, by Jesse Phagan, and Teach yourself electronics, by Malcolm Plant. Our teacher has an old version (second) of Grob’s Basic Electronics, and I got the Problems book mailed to me, and am waiting on the hardcover to arrive via amazon. I haven’t had much luck with them delivering on time, the last book I ordered, DC/AC electronics by Jesse Phagan, was pushed back a month, then pushed back another month. When they pushed back the delivery date the third time, I just canceled it. By that time we were almost done that material.
On top of that, I received a bunch of books from a family member that had once took Electronics Engineering. Great books with a lot of depth to them. Electronic Principles by Albert Malvino, and Electronic Communications by William Sinnema.
If that wasn’t enough, I just took a trip down to the library and picked up four more books. Understand Electronics by Owen Bishop, Hands-on Electronics by Chris White, Essential Electronics for PC technicians by John Farber, and Crash Course in Electronics Technology, by Louis Frenzel Jr. Enough typing, back to the books!
Testing 1,2,3… I was reading about how you can put Latex commands in wordpress.
