Recently Firefox started having flashing black bars on web pages. It looks like it is an accessibility setting so people without a mouse can scroll through pages. So really, what you are seeing is the cursor flashing. To fix:
In Linux: Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> General -> Uncheck “Always use cursor keys to navigate within pages”
In Windows: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Uncheck “Always use cursor keys to navigate within pages”

Upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat). After some reading on the future release of Ubuntu, it got me off the LTS and interested in checking out what is changing. They are planning on changing some of the default applications and desktop, but all that is easily enough changed to the way I like it. Looking forward to the next release.

To anyone searching for Google calendar and Evolution Synching, It is much easier to use Sunbird with the Google Provider plugin. Synched an Ubuntu 64 system, a Windows system, and used Google Sync for my Blackberry. Done!

You know, for the amount of time I spend looking for some WordPress plugins, I am wasting my time. It’s not a plugin for WordPress I want, so much as a plugin for Firefox!
Scribefire is a plugin to post straight to your WordPress blog, and so far it looks great. We will see!
